If you're into album artwork, Def will help you find bigger artwork than your Amazon or your iTunes. We're talking HD Artwork. High Def, ya dig? How can you rightly listen to your high bitrate albums with gapless playback and all jazz that while you stare at tiny or stretched-and-blurry artwork? You really shouldn't do that to yourself. And don't even tell me you don't like album artwork. |

Def uses Amazon.com's shiny new "ECS 4.0" system to get album information. Then using things like the label name, the artist, the album, and the release date, Def looks through alllllll the different label sites we have lovingly taught it how to talk to. Hopefully it finds you a page with your art on it. It gets better at it every day. Sometimes, we can even give you a direct link to the big ol' cover, or DDL as we like to call it (direct dynamic link). If that happens, the album thumbnail in the search result will have a blue border; an obvious link.
If you're an OiNKer and a GreaseMonkey user, here is a script to help you out. What does it do? If you wanna grab a foobar2000 set up for huge artwork as seen here, you can download it here. |
